I really can’t get enough of the track “Too Much to Lose” by Sun Glitters. Remix after remix has made the experience of listening to “Too Much to Lose” as if it were a new track, and apparently, the band themselves caught the remix bug, too. Take a listen to their self remix of one of the best tracks of the year below, feel free to download it, and add it to the list of great remixes of the track.

Baltimore’s Future Islands usually get right to the point on their second album from Thrill Jockey, On the Water. They punish so succinctly they eventually run out of control, confined to their limits. For all you representing the West Michigan area, Future Islands will be playing at The Strutt on October 29th with the remixers of the track below, Javelin. Dress up in your best Halloween attire, grab a beer, and head to the show. It’s for your own good. For now, take a listen to Javelin tweaking Future Island’s “Crish” below:

Greece’s own Keep Shelly in Athens still has me repeating their awesome funk-wave anthem “Cremona Memories” on a daily basis. Now, they’ve given us another standout track, “DIY”, from their newest EP Our Own Dream due out some time next month via Forest Family Records. “DIY” floats along in a reverb heavy world, piano laden, and anthemic drums. Listen to “DIY” below and download the mp3 if you so do wish, my dear…

LISTEN: Korallreven — “Sa Sa Somoa” (feat. Julianna Barwick)

Quite interesting stuff here from Sweden’s Korallreven. Cinematic ambiance meets African chorus…with electronic percussion…and Graceland from Paul Simon meets…Swedish pop. Or something. Whatever it is, “Sa Sa Somoa” is the latest track released for the upcoming An Album byKorallreven, due out November 15 from Acéphale  and November 16 in Scandinavia through Hybris. Roaring out on vocals is Julianna Barwick. Take a listen to the mp3 below.
